Reclāmāre aims to repurpose fabrics into silhouettes inspired by history combined with motifs of reclamation. Garments that were historically equated with weakness take on an empowering spin. Fibres are taken from the earth and will be reclaimed by her in turn.

This collection provided a unique challenge, with its inspiration, ideation and implementation all in isolation. Despite the difficulties of ordering fabric online, working in a tight space and without the equipment available at the School of Fashion, I’m quite happy with the way it turned out. I’d like to continue to create clothing while pushing for greater sustainable impact going forward. I am so thankful to all of my professors and peers who taught, encouraged and inspired me in my years at Ryerson. I am excited to participate in the future of fashion.
